Yup, I think so.

Due to your recommendation I ordered an Epson TM T88 V (I assume we mean the same model, afaik there is only the TM‑T88, not a TM‑88 without the "T").

lsusb lists this printer as IV not V:
ID 04b8:0202 Seiko Epson Corp. Interface Card UB-U05 for Thermal Receipt Printers [M129C/TM-T70/TM-T88IV]

But the printer's nameplate says also EPSON TM-T88V and Model M244A.

Unfortuately neither p.cut("FULL") nor nor any of the code snippets mentioned in #721 / comment from Benito López work. Paper is always cut partial with a 2 mm trace on the left side.

So, I assume your recommendation was just a guess, or did you actually test the full versus partial cut?

[edit1] I have now also installed the printer under Windows, hoping that the cutting options could be permanently adjusted via firmware configuration. However, there are no options for full vs partial cut, so I’m afraid the printer may not support full cut at all.

[edit2] In the meantime, I hat contact with a dealer that said full cut vs. partial cut depends on the installed blade, which can be replaced. In the past, Epson offered blades for full cut that, according to the dealer, have not been available as spare parts for a long time.
