Unavailability of volume control on Odyssey Ark #1829

I am not sure, maybe the Odyssey Ark does not support DDC volume controls. You can try doing a DDC capabilities detection using BetterDisplay to check if it is available. Some Samsung displays don't support DDC at all or support it on specific ports only. |

Hi, Dabber. What you guess comes with the evidence shown above. And I didn't verify alternative solution, which is the thunderbolt video output, because of unavailability of the wire. I wonder if there's any other solution to this problem. Thank you.

Ok. I assume you are using an USB-C to HDMI dongle, which might be one component of the problem - most such dongles don't properly pass DDC communication (try to get a dongle with a VMM7100 chipset). But the Odyssay Ark probably runs Samsung's Tizen TV operating system, so internally it's more a TV than a display - these units usually don't support DDC (just like TVs). |
